Privacy Policy

Katakura Industries Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) pledges to establish independent rules and systems related to the personal information and specific personal information of parties such as its customers and vendors stipulated in the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (hereinafter referred to as the “Numbers Act”) that the Company uses for business purposes, to set the following Privacy Policy, and to thoroughly manage and maintain that policy.

Specific personal information, however, is used only within the scope permitted by the Numbers Act, for no other purposes.

3. Obtaining personal information and specific personal information

The Company uses legal, fair methods to obtain personal information and refrains from using inappropriate methods. The Company either obtains consent regarding the purpose that personal information will be used for, etc., or announces important points on its website.

4. Outsourcing personal information and specific personal information

If personal information is shared with third parties or personal information or specific personal information is provided to third parties in the process of outsourcing operations, the Company investigates the third party, concludes necessary agreements, and conducts necessary and appropriate monitoring.

5. Providing and disclosing personal information and specific personal information to third parties

Except in the following situations, personal information obtained from customers is not provided or disclosed to any third party.

  2. The personal information is being provided or disclosed to affiliated companies, etc., only to the extent necessary.

Irrespective of the above item, the Company does not provide or disclose specific personal information to any third party unless permitted by the Numbers Act.

6. Disclosing, revising, and deleting personal information

If requested by customers to disclose, revise, stop using, delete, etc., their personal information, the Company does so in line with designated procedures.

7. Personal information and specific personal information security measures

  1. In order to communicate this information, the Company releases the information to the general public and informs its employees (general executives and employees, part-time employees, temporary staff, etc.) and related parties.
  2. In order to prevent the loss, destruction, alteration, leak, etc. of personal information and specific personal information, the Company implements appropriate information security measures, such as ones to prevent unauthorized access and protect computers from viruses.

8. Changes in Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy may be changed when necessary. Because it would be difficult to contact customers in that case, customers should check the latest details on the Company’s website.

9. Disclaimer

The Company may provide appropriate information and advice to customers but bears no responsibility because of that. The Company bears no responsibility for damages due to system interruption, delays, suspension, etc., as a result of computer problems caused by unauthorized access, computer viruses, etc.
